I took dancing lessons in seventh and eighth grade, and have had an affinity for and interest in it.
I've long been interested in music (house/trance/EDM for a couple decades now), and shuffle started in the clubs in Melbourne, Australia last century.

do you go out dancing with the wife. Or if you are at a wedding can you hold your own on a dance floor.
what about at a Bar mitzvah,,,, can you do the Horah
I am woefully uncoordinated........I have no retentive memory for dance steps. I remember going with some guys and gals in college to the poconos for skiing....and the hotel had a dance floor, and the girsl were trying to teach me and the guys some group dance thing...maybe the hustle...maybe something else..not sure....and I was rather spastic....I was trying, but didnt have the aptitude for it.
Kind of like this dynamic between boy and girl,,,,If it sounds like meatloaf....Steinman was the genious behind meatloaf...wrote and arranged all the songs for him at his height.
Im a lover not a dancer....yeah thats the ticket...it sounds better than I am spastic

My wife doesn't like to dance, so I rarely get to practice my moves, except a lot of the time I start dancing by myself in the garage after smoking a bowl and listening to some good tunes on the high end stereo.
Nothing fancy like I once knew (fox trot, jitterbug, cha-cha); more of the typical night club free style sway and move.

yeah, at my wedding, me and my wife(who also doesnt dance much) just did the requisite dances for the photographer and wedding album..and that was it. We had a real good band...but didnt give a shit about dancing..thats for sure.
But I have been to weddings where the bride and groom live on the dance floor.
There have been affairs where me and my wife are the only ones at the table while everyone else goes to dance. Not a problem. ( we might slow dance once per event....but thats about it)

Now, something more current: shuffle dancing: Back in my day, that was called "crip walking". This seems the same thing, perhaps with a bit more energy.

Funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same.
